Mahon China has over 20 years’ experience conducting business in China, over a period of continuous change and opportunity.
Mahon China was founded by David Mahon in 1985 and developed a reputation as a reliable business advisor and partner for the then tightly closed China market.
Since the 1980s Mahon China has represented the China investments and interests of a variety of international financial groups including Crosby Asset Management (later taken over by Societe Generale), Colonial Mutual Group of Australia and Swiss Life.
Through this experience we developed our role in China private equity, and have been manager and general partner for four China-only private equity funds. We have directly managed a large number and variety of Chinese businesses.
We leverage this hands-on experience in the provision of both our corporate advisory and research services.
We have developed deep networks throughout China at national, provincial and city level, covering both business and government.
Our team of international and Chinese investment professionals is based in Beijing, and we enjoy strong relationships with the investment communities throughout Greater China, North America, the United Kingdom, Europe and Australasia.
